CenterPoint Energy’s professional tree trimming program is integrated into our daily operations to continue providing you with safe and reliable services. Trees that grow close to our electric poles and lines will be trimmed by a professional tree trimming company under contract with us.
To avoid power outages and electric safety hazards, plant the right tree in the right place. Before planting a new tree:
- Call 811 at least two business days before you plan to dig to locate any underground lines.
- Be aware of the growth potential of your trees and place them at an appropriate distance from power distribution lines.
- Never attempt to trim trees around energized power lines.
